God is with us always, wherever and whenever we find ourselves.

Ponder the Text: I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night. But even in darkness, I cannot hide from you. To you, the night shines as bright as today. Darkness and light are the same to you.” -Psalm 139:11-12. 

Prompt for Thought: Look back over your life, what are some of the significant places where God met you whether it was in the light times or the dark times? Write a prayer of thanksgiving for all those times.

Prayer for the Journey: God, as Psalm 139:11-12 states, light and dark are the same to you. You are the true Light of the World. We are grateful that you are with us no matter what. We simply ask that when we forget this, you remind us of your presence in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
